The Foundation Programme is a preparatory programme that prepares students who have studied in another country under a different curriculum in terms of English and academic skills for entry into undergraduate faculties at universities. Turkmen students who wish to pursue higher education at universities abroad must complete 1 year of foundation education, as secondary school education abroad and in Turkmenistan is different. For example, in the British education system, a student who has completed secondary school receives a total of 13 years of education. In Turkmenistan, this education takes a total of 12 years. For this reason, students who have completed school in Turkmenistan are not accepted to A-Level in the UK. If you wish to pursue a bachelor`s degree at a UK university, you will have to make up the missed year by completing 1 year of foundation education at a British university or college. A student must have sufficient English language skills to participate in the Foundation programme. The Foundation programme provides English language support to students. However, students are expected to have a certain level of English (IELTS 4.5-5.5 or TOEFL 70-80). Students with insufficient language skills must take language training in advance. The Foundation programme prepares students for the subjects they wish to study; It prepares students for undergraduate programmes such as business administration, finance and management, programming, law, art and design, engineering, social sciences, medicine, science and pharmacy, media and humanities
