On December 25, 2024, an Information Day of the Erasmus+ program was held among the teaching staff and student youth at the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan. In the course of the event, the Coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Office in Turkmenistan, Ayna Chorekliyeva, presented information about the opportunities provided by the Erasmus+ program in the field of higher education for Higher Education Institutions of Turkmenistan. The Erasmus+ program is a European Union programme for the period 2021-2027, aimed at education, vocational training, youth development and sports. The participants were introduced to the different areas of the programme:
- Capacity Building in Higher Education
- International Credit Mobility
- Erasmus Mundus Joint Master's Degrees
- Jean Monnet Programme
The programme is coordinated by the European Executive Agency for Education and Culture, based in Brussels, Belgium. All projects must comply with the programme's main principles: inclusion, innovation, impact and sustainability. Lecturers and students of the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan received information on how to apply for various projects and scholarship programs.
