During the new era of the prosperous revival of the independent state, under the leadership of the esteemed President, special attention is given to the development of international cooperation in state educational policies, as well as the inclusion of the country's higher education institutions in international university rankings. The good news that arrived on the threshold of the new year is that the S.A. Nyyazov Turkmen Agricultural University became the first university in our country to be accepted into the University Alliance of the Silk Road (UASR). As noted by our Hero Arkadag, the Great Silk Road in the past united continents. Turkmenistan has taken an important place in the history of this international trade route, becoming its driving force and center. The knowledge and experience gained through the revived Silk Road, as well as cultural relations, help achieve greater successes. The University Alliance of the Silk Road was created within the framework of China's "One Belt, One Road" initiative with the aim of supporting the economic development of the countries along the Great Silk Road and strengthening cooperation in the field of education. The Alliance was established on May 22, 2015. The Secretariat of the Alliance is located at Xi'an Jiaotong University in Xi'an, China. Currently, more than 180 universities from over 40 countries are members of the University Alliance of the Silk Road. The main objectives of the Alliance are to promote friendship and cooperation between regions and countries, support sustainable development through peace, establish mutually beneficial relations in education and culture, facilitate student and faculty exchanges, support talents, and jointly implement research projects. Cooperation between the higher education institutions of Turkmenistan and the University Alliance of the Silk Road continues to grow. It is also worth noting that, in the "Year of Wisdom of Magtymguly Pyragy," the S.A. Nyyazov Turkmen Agricultural University was included in the "World University Rankings 2025" list of the "Times Higher Education" organization and also in the global university rankings of "UI GreenMetric."
